Just back from holidays in Puerto Vallarta, great holiday !! We had done the Hidden Beaches trip which took us to Yelapa, a Fab beach that we were told only accessible by boat. Arrived at the location and first thing we done was horse riding as part of the trip we done, easy even for novice and only went short... More

To is this was too much hassle for what it was. I did enjoy the walk for the first 20 minutes or so but I would recommend just walking through the adorable town of Yelapa and spending your time chilling on the beach ! If you do go, take a horse, at least that was our experience! If I did... More

nice, relaxing beach day! They encourage you to spend your day at select establishments (due to contracts they have with water taxi companies) but, we shared our eats and drinks amoungst 2 and were very happy with both. The pie lady was as great as expect-since I had read reviews :-)

The waterfall is not much per se, but the walk through the jungle and the nice town of Yelapa are definitely worth it. I have tried some Raicilla at the small restaurant there, better than tequila :)

The falls were nice along with the scenic views. Best time to go is during the rainy season but then you can't appreciate the beach as much. You will enjoy yourself regardless.

I would like to reinforce what others have posted about there being no water in the rivers at this time. Please do not book a tour expecting to see active water falls. We have been told this is the driest it has been in many a year.

Visited the small "cascade" close to town. It was pretty dry with a cesspool of stagnant water. I wouldn't put my feet in it let alone swim. Not a far walk but not for anyone with mobility issues imo. A few vendors. If I paid for it through Vallarta Adventures (who I passed as I left) I would be pretty... More

We were really not told that the waterfall was basically dried up before taking an excursion there. But, nice little village to explore. Locals selling their goods. Kayaking, water toys available. Nice view.

It should be immediately noted that there are two different waterfalls listed under this heading. I will speak to both. The waterfall in town - up a short trail in the town of Yelapa is a tall waterfall surrounded by jungle. Currently the waterfall is a small trickle due to a dry season. I would imagine that at other times... More

First, I have to say that I am from the Seattle area and we have many wonderful hikes and waterfalls that we visit on an annual basis, so my opinion may be clouded by my experience as a Northwestern native. Second, we were in Mexico during April 2017 and it was stated to be one of the driest of the... More
