Views in the Blue Mountains basically falls into two camps, those looking south into the Jamison Valley at lookouts in Katoomba to Wentworth Falls, and those looking north into the Grose Valley like this Govetts Leap lookout. The views from here are for looking into the valley caved out by the river flowing through the middle. The best views aren't... More

Well signed route to Govetts Leap from Blackheath. Plenty of information boards to show various walks and where the look outs are. Stunning start to the Blue Mountains experience.

Govetts Leap Lookout is easy to get to in Blackheath with plenty of signs. The view from the lookout is stunning and apart from the wilderness there is the Bridal Veil or Govetts Leap Falls to your right. There are plenty of short and long walks that can be commenced from here, one of which is wheelchair friendly. The New... More

There were lots of options for walks and tracks and the views are magnificent during our stay in Blackheath in November, weather as hot and dry.

This area of the mountains is a must see , feels way more natural than the other tourist hot spots with development non existent . Look hard enough and you will come across the Warattahs in the wild. To me its a bit like the grand cannon but with trees.

This is one of a number of lookouts in this area of Blackheath. I visited near sunset and in spite of some clouds the view was stunning. Beautiful forested valley below with impressive sandstone mountains above. A nice waterfall (bridal veil) is also visible from the lookout. A number of trails start near the parking lot, but they are narrow... More

We did this walk as it was stated as being 15 minutes from the car park. My partner and I are both fit but struggled with the steepness of the climb which took a lot longer than 15 minutes - more like 30. A mountain goat would have had a hard time. Eventually reaching the lookout point, it was nothing... More
