Gulgong is a quaint little town bursting with history. This museum is an easy walk from the main part of town. The adult entry fee is only $7, which is very reasonable. We found the DVD's of poetry very relaxing. It would be easy to spend an hour perusing all the items on display.

Sign says open 7 days but on the odd occasion may be closed. 6 disappointed travellers from Wollongong- this was one of those odd occasions.

Fantastic small museum, a wealth of information and historic treasures. Loads of original material. Thoroughly enjoyed, although 9 & 10 year olds didn't find the information interesting but loved the set out of the museum and that kept them entertained.

I've been looking forward to visiting the centre for a while. Sadly, although advertised as "Open" it was closed. The sign did " Please visit again", but not possible for me.

The display of Henry Lawson's life and his works is well presented in what looks like and old small church. The memorabilia and excerpts from a remarkable and flawed and sometimes depressed Australian talent is well worth looking into in his home town. His home town in itself is also worth a visit for the refreshing sight of a town... More

Set in an old church this is a must visit attraction in a town with plenty to offer. A knowledgable attendant was on hand and was more than happy to spend time answering our questions and providing special insights

Set in an old salvation army hall is the history behind a great Australian Henry Lawson, take your time strolling and reading through the history of Lawson life and off course his stories of the Australian bush.

This museum about the life and times of Australia's own bard; displays beautifully the works and associated artifacts associated with Henry Lawson. The story of his life is told chronologically. Very very well done!
