We visited because we remember the mine rescue from TV. It is a large complex with very interesting displays and very hands on. It dealt with the mine collapse and rescue in a very sensitive way. Allow 1.5 hours to see everything. Highly recommended.

We found this centre very informative and interesting. The mine disaster was very well documented and presented and found it emotional. The town showed the world how to come together and support each other. Well worth the drive there to see this.

Having heard so much about the tragic mine collapse, was interested in seeing through the heritage centre. Found it much larger than expected. All the displays were very informative but you certainly need time to wander through it. The news footage of the tragedy was...More

We were amazed at how much information this centre held, not only on the Beaconsfield mine collapse but also on the history of the town and the mine, there was lots of interactive things for the kids to do.
