Arrived late in the day so didn't have time for any of the longer walks but jogged up from the car park through scrub full of colourful native birds to the lighthouse and was rewarded with magnificent sweeping views of the rugged coast of South Bruny Island. Surprisingly a lot of rabbits grazed on the lawn near the car park... More

We did the Luggaboine Circuit hike which had stunning scenery once we were off the track that was a dirt road for vehicles. Always be cautious of snakes!

We are two retired couples and while this walk was reasonably challenging for us we would definitely recommend it. Find a good stick to ensure you don't fall over tree roots. Track is well marked - it is steep hiking up but views on the top are fantastic and a great place for a lunch stop. We took 2.5 hours... More

Be sure to go to the lighthouse and do the tour. The walks are mostly longish but the Fluted Cape walk was awesome so make effort. Beautiful beaches and scenery.

There are so many places to visit within this park, that they should each have their own entry! Cloudy Bay is amazing to see the sea running red as the waves break and the foam is so deep a colour. You find out what causes this as you go on the short walk to the next bay. Jetty beach has... More

We drove down to Cloudy Bay and enjoyed a short walk along the coast before heading back to the ferry. It is so beautiful and peaceful. There is now a 1 way glass window in the toilet here which is fun!

We spent Christmas day 2015 and 2016 on a secluded beach in this magnificent park. We parked in the camping area (which really looks lovely and the people seemed quiet and respectful of others' need for peace and tranquillity), put on our day packs full of Christmas lunch and walked along the coast until we found a deserted beach -... The national park was a lovely long weekend away for us. We headed down to Cloudy Bay and drove the 3kms along the beach to Cloudy Camp and enjoyed a great 3 days here. The East Cloudy Head walk is just next to the camp grounds and takes you through some great scenery amd amazing sights. Whilst being a bit... More

This NP showcases what wild and untamed nature the island has to offer for the traveller willing to leave the car and have a break and walk off all the good food and wine from lunch.... Great walk!

We did the full hike around/through South Bruny National Park in November on a pleasant day. There were so many beautiful areas it was hard to pick the favourites but over our approximately 5 hour hike we thoroughly enjoyed most of it. Some parts were nice but not inspiring while others were magnificent like the ocean cliffs. Because of the... More
