The visitor centre is run by parks and wildlife Tasmania and provides all the information. You need for the walks around cradle mountain. The visitor centre opens at 8:30 but forget about the cafe as it doesn’t open til 10:00. So no early morning coffee...More

If traveling to Cradle mountain and dont want to drive be their between 9am and 4pm and take the bus to the mountain. Very friendly staff too

You can do several walks in a day if they are small however only 1-2 half day walks are recommended. Although you can take your car to Dove Lake, the recommended option is to pay for tickets and use the bus. The bus drivers are...More

The staff here are the real treat for this out of the way visitor center. Ther were enough gift idea on display and the staff made it entertaining.

Used the Centre twice while in the Cradle Mountain area. Thought it reflected Tasmania quite well. It wants to be modern and progressive but in the Tasmanian way where being laid-back is much more important. Quite a nice way.

One of the stop overs towards Cradle Mountain. This is the place for purchase of park tickets, and you can also grab a coffee and some small bites like fries and sweet potato fries (quite yummy)
