It's strange to come to a place seeking its beauty and tranquility only to be elbowed on the track near the carpark by Chinese tourists trying to be the first ones down to the hut haha Come early in the morning before the buses to...More

An easy walk with great views of cradle mountain. They advise to catch the shuttle bus but there was a wait on the way back which was a bit annoying. The mountain park is getting many tourists and they are thinking of restricting numbers.

So happy that we did the walk and we were fortunate to have the clouds lift to give us the best views of Cradle Mountain. The lake itself if wild but surrounded by little pockets of beach and interesting foliage.

This was one of the most beautifully scenic walks I have ever done! From the amazing open views of the lake and Cradle Mountain, to the lush green forests - there is always something magical to admire. It's an easy walk with a few short...More

I don’t think you could bore of Dove Lake Circuit. The walk is easy to do although it does have steps for a section and can get wet underfoot. The views are spectacular. The forests are magical. Took us a little over 2 hours.

This was a pleasant walk around Dove Lake which took about two hours with a few stops to take photos. Cradle mountain was covered in cloud the day we did it but the views were still very nice.

We were fortunate to have superb weather for our walk over the October long weekend. I had finished the circuit twice before 11 and 16 years ago. Not much has changed, scenery with Dove Lake and Cradle Mountain above still beautiful. I didn’t recall the...More

We have walked the Dove Lake Circuit several times, sometimes with young children. The circuit is almost 6km, and maps say that it takes around 2 hours - we always allow extra time to stop and look at the views, have a rest or something...More

We walked the circuit in August and it was very cold and snowy - so get the right gear on and don't forget the walking boots - they are essential! Start the walk clockwise as they have put in some excellent boardwalks - nice and...More

The early part of the walk is relatively easy and would present no problems, however the middle and homeward sections do have some steep sections and a number of stairs. I would not feel comfortable or recommend attempting... More

Hi I would advise getting a National Parks Pass usually valid for 2 months thus giving you entry and free shuttle bus!

Hi there. I'm sorry I have only just seen your questions. I'm not the person to ask, but we stayed two nights in the Highlander Chalets and did several quick walks in one day in the one National Park.
