very very cool. The glass art and marbles are excellent, and the room full of marble ramps is well worth the $2 to go inside

This is a amazing shop" World Of Marbles" I am a big fan of Marbles and I was delighted to spend some time in the only Marble shop in Australia. Brought back so many memoirs of my childhood.

We stumbled upon the beautifully presented shop whilst checking out the numerous murals that give this town its own unique personality. In some regards it is inaccurately named; maybe 'world of magnificent glassworks' or 'world of quirky engineering inventions' would be more apt. The glassworks is displayed beautifully and a highly skilled craftman was at work too. But the highlight... More

This is an interesting shop. There is a lot to see. The contraption room is very interesting and fun for the big kids as well! There are toys and marbles for sale.

Stopped in after enjoying morning tea nearby. Shop displays an amazing array of marbles and other glass work. Kids enjoyed the contraption room ($2 entry). Range of gifts of offer to suit all budgets.

My 7 year old enjoyed looking at the contraptions. Also purchased marbles that were made on site. Very good place to visit as a stopover.

It's great to watch a master at work. Great design marbles made as you watch him. Also a great 'Marble toy museum' and lots of old fashioned (windup) toys.

This is more of a shop. Unfortunately we arrived late in the day and missed the demonstrations of marble making. For $2 each visitors can go into a room and view around 8-10 mechanical displays. Interesting, but its only a small room. Lots of items available for sale for every budget. Some items are very expensive, but aren't commonly found... More

Something different to look at. Lovely glass work, international quality. Also an exhibition out the back room for $2. The family enjoyed it. Stock up on your marbles.

For a bargain price of $2 to enter the Contraptuary, a fascinating little room with entertaining mechanical runs and toys, it provided hands-on interactive fun for kids and adults. A hidden gem with fun for kids in Sheffield.
