Visited on Tuesday 29th November. It was over 30 years ago that we climbed The Nut, before they had the chairlift. The climb is very steep and once on top the walk around is relatively easy with a good walking track, there are a few lookouts to stop at and admire the view out to sea or down below. The... More

Weather was wet and wild for our one night stay in Stanley. We climbed the Nut and almost got blown off the top as we walked the track around the top. Views are superb and it was exhilarating.

The Nut is the most prominent landmark in Stanley. It would be impossible to miss it. We walked up it and I must say it was the steepest hill I have climbed. Short but intense climbs! I think if you wanted to walk it maybe catch the chair lift up and back and do the relatively easy top loop which... More

We had a beautiful day so views were stunning. The walk up is all on a sealed path and not difficult. The extra 2km walk at the top also well worth it. Save your money to spend at the cafe that provides clean toilets free of charge for all. It's great to have world class free activities. Take note Europe!

Climb the steep path or take the chairlift to the top of Stanley's centerpiece. A 2km walk round the top with fabulous views of Stanley and surrounds.

We climbed to the top of the "Nut" and then walked the 2 klms. circuit around the perimeter. Spectacular views from many different locations. Numerous birds and animals were seen as well as many species of flora. A steep climb but well worth it. Or you can take the chairlift when it is not too windy.

So pleased there is a chairlift so that The Nut is accessable to everyone. The walk up looks steep. A comfortable walk around the top with amazing views in all directions.
