We had the whole beach to ourselves. The sand patterns were really amazing. Lot's of amazing pebbles and stones. Not a beach to hunt for sea shells. Just walk along and remember that you are breathing in some of the freshest air in the world.

Wilderness wild, just what I wanted to see in an isolated part of the world. Could sit and watch the sea forever. Easy to get to 8km out of town. didnt see any facilities

Visited over 10yrs ago on our honeymoon, grateful to show our children the sun over the water and the fierce ocean this stretch of beach offers. Unforgettable.

The beach is somewhat different from a "usual" beach that I would expect. There was lots of naturally formed foam at the edge of water, making it look very different. It is nonetheless an amazing lookout

A short drive from strahan brings you to an amazing beach to come face to face with roaring 40s wild surf and winds. Gravel Road is easy but dont try to drive down to beach unless you have full 4Wd. Beach is only a short...More

Usual dark coloured sand West Coast Beach, but still nice to walk along or take a picnic lunch and enjoy that at the beach.

We drove out to see the Ocean Beach on a drizzling, rainy day. It was quite cold and windy but we still enjoyed the chance to see the beach.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. A beach, by the ocean. We went for a long walk on a windy day and felt as if we'd left civilisation a thousand miles behind us. Loved the isolation, the smell of the sea and the...More

You will need a 4x4 to get into the beach. The transition from the approach road to the beach proper, is very soft and deep sand for about 500m. A two wheel drive will get stuck before making it to the beach! I wouldn’t try... More
