Very interesting sawmill and variety of goods sold in shop. We were lucky to speak to an older man who had lived in Strahan all of his life and was full of information regarding the sawmill and huon pine. Bought a huon pine bread board...More

I was surprised to be quite interested when visiting this place as I hadn't thought I would enjoy it. I think it was the sense of history that appealed to me.

We visited here as part of our Gordon River Cruise, beautiful timber and the Rocking Horse is so Beautiful but a tad expensive, they have lots of things for sale including offcuts which a friend bought for their friend as he does beautiful carvings....a must...More

We stopped by here at the end of our Heritage Cruise. There is a lot of history in this area and the Mill is one of them. Learn how they rowed the timber back for milling. Wow I was exhausted after a cruise never mind...More

If you want to see how they cut up tree trunks this is for you. They have offcuts for sale and other items both dressed and unfinished at reasonable prices.

If you want to learn about the forestry history of the area then this is a must see. An Interesting work place with a lovely viewing gallery & top quality products to buy.

If you love timber especially Huon Pine you will be in 7th heaven. There are all sorts of finished articles such as cheeseboards,bowls etc but also raw timber plus off cuts.

It really depends on the size of the item....I saw slabs the size of a table top selling from Aus $1500......or around $80 to $150 for smaller items.....Cutting boards etc...
