Dropped in for info which they have plenty of history from around the area, def with a visit. Also info/history on surrounding towns.

We needed information to help us make beat use of our time in Swansea and got it from Catherine. Interesting military and local history on show.

The museum is free, but requests donations. Many exhibits are related to the military, but my favorite was the old school classroom complete with a “properly” dressed teacher at the front.

Zeehan on the west coast of Tasmania has the West Coast Heritage Museum and Swansea has the east coast version. However the east coast version is far smaller without the outdoor area with various equipment and is effectively just a few rooms of memorabilia tacked...More

If visiting Swansea take a half an hour or so to connect with the amazing history of the district. Followup a visit with a visit to the local cemetery to really make these connections.
