This is one of the area's best kept secrets. The river trip past the remains of old industry and vast steel mills was contrasted by the many eagles and other birds we saw. We enjoyed the review of the many pleasure boats in the harbor...More

We attended a Rockin on the River concert here. It was about the nicest venue I’ve ever been. It was very well-organized, there were food/ drink trucks, plenty of security and green space, and the breeze off the water added to the pleasant evening. Whoever...More

We enjoyed the boat ride, the day was hot but the water breeze knock off the heat. Water traffic was less then we had expected, some kayaker's and a speed boat or two. Wild life was abundant with fowl and turtles.

This tour was eye opening for my husband and I. I never knew there were steel mills along this river, or the places where they offload materials. We passed an enormous barge that was being pushed by a tugboat and was going to deliver its...More

The trip up the Black River was interesting, especially when we turned a corner and left industry behind...there were herons, cormorants, and even an eagle nest. The sights were surprising, but unfortunately we couldn't hear the Captain's explanations because the speaker system was not working....More

We had a very nice time with friends exploring the Black River. It was fun to try to pinpoint where we were based on landmarks that we normally see from the road. The only complaint I would have would be that we couldn't hear that...More

Water a bench and a breeze what else do ya need, well they've got festivals, boat rides, concerts and tons of room and scenery if you just want to walk. Don't forget on that rare occasion a bald eagle.

There is parking off of black River landing lane which you get to off of rt 57. Some people park at the bank lots on 57 also. There are plenty of signs and parking is free.
