Stopped here to visit the grave site of Gen. Rufus Dawes. He fought in many Civil War battles including Gettysburg, Antietam, Chancellorsville and many others. His sons and grand kids are buried nearby. Fascinating just to walk around here and look at the old monuments....More

If you like cemeteries and are interested in some of the old style stones and just great atmosphere, this the place to go. It is well kept and the small deer herd seem to make a good living there. We'll visit again!

Interesting visit to a historic cemetery. Worth a stop to honor the many soldiers of the Revolutionary War and first settlers of Marietta.
