You can drive along the road that leads you within a route of Dawes to view all of the beautiful landscaping and lake. I would suggest walking the route. There is a lookout tower that you can climb up on to see most of the...More

Very nice place for leisure walking or running. The Japanese garden is beautiful! It’s also great place to take family photos.

I love to go out and walk at Dawes. It is a beautiful setting and very peaceful. The security is always driving around the grounds and available for questions.

My father can no longer hike to bird and butterfly watch but he thoroughly enjoyed the auto tour. We saw over 12 species of birds and five different butterflies just from the car. He plans to return and try parking in one of the several...More

This was a nice relaxing place to just enjoy nature. It’s a free walk on trails. It’s a wonderful little adventure.

We brought 3 dogs and left with over 20 ticks. All of our dogs are treated but even found some in my wife’s hair. Be careful

Wide open spaces with lots of trails. Trees are labeled, with many trees from other countries and continents. Could spend a whole day there!

This is one of the most amazing places I have ever visited. The park 2,000 acres, 12 miles of hiking trails, and auto tour that is four miles long. This is a non-profit park. It is run very well. Great visitor center for the family....More

There also hiking trails through the woods that you could mountain bike.
