Lost in Ledges

Great place to walk trails. The ledges are rock formations that you can walk on top of and through, like you are in a different world.

If you park by the Octagon shelter and walk up you get to see the bottom park of the ledges which are just as amazing as the top view. That trail is a bit tricky with rocks and roots however. If that's not your cup of tea you can park at the top of the ledges at the overlook and... More

I'm from the mountains - just didn't picture rock ledges like these in Ohio. Nice leisurely hike among the trees and rocks. Even a bat cave entrance. Great view from the ledges.

The rocks were very unusual; really worth the visit. If short for time, go from parking lot toward Ledges shelter to Ice Box. Then go left to do the Ledges Loop. When you get to the Overlook, head back to the car. Not much to see from ice box to overlook on the loop trail. If you want to hike... More

This is such a cool spot to hike. The natural rock Ledges are amazing. It's gorgeous here. There are many degrees of hiking from easy to difficult. You can climb up on rocks and between crevices. Great for taking pictures too

Love this place, one our favorites to hike with our dogs. Not handicap accessible, lots of up and down on rocky trail. Bring good your walking stick and camera.

This was our first time to the area and was on our to do list. The weather turned cold and rainy this weekend but still it was an wonderful experience. There is plenty of parking and the trails are marked moderate. Unless you are handicap, they aren't bad. They were a little rough and muddy with wet leaves so that... More

This is a beautiful place to visit in the National Park system. Go for a walk, picnic, BBQ. Many paths to explore and especially breathtaking in the Fall.

This is our family favorite hike in the area. I personally enjoy the winding cavern/crevice areas. Many people enjoy the scenic overlook for that great pic. There is a bat colony in one cave area but you can't go in any longer because of fear of white nose syndrome. My young teen son and nephews enjoy running along the cross... More
