A home that deserves to be saved. Your visit helps to restore this important piece of history. Great place for a team to ghost hunt. George, the host was very pleasant and informing. We will make another trip back in the future. Stop by and do a tour!

4 of us spent the night at The Prospect Place Mansion at the end of June for a ghost hunt. We were not disappointed. We came away with some interesting photos, grade A EVP's and some amazing video. Not trying to convince anyone that this historic mansion is haunted. That is up to your own interpretation. By morning we were... More

I've seen a couple of recent reviews here on TA about Prospect Place that are frankly perplexing. In the interest of honesty, candor, and full disclosure, I am a volunteer at Prospect Place who travels on average of 3 to 4x a year to Ohio (from Georgia) to donate my time and sweat to/for this remarkable historic property. Prospect Place... More

We did the day time historical self guided tour. Pulling into the drive way is impressive. There really is a lot of history here. The property was really let go over the years. There were people there working on the restoration when we were there. This property could be a phenomenal place to visit, except that there is trash every... More

It is important to remember that the operations at Prospect Place are a work in progress. A restoration which will inevitably span many decades. Though there are a few finished rooms inside the property it is still a construction site as much as a tourist attraction. In fact many people visit us in order to see for themselves what goes... We visited Prospect Place on a Saturday afternoon for an educational tour. There is no cost to tour the home on Saturdays but donations are accepted. Parking is in front of the house on grass and we had no trouble making our way up the short driveway. When we arrived there was no one to greet us but there were... More

This little haunted gem is tucked away in the country, but provided amazing evidence for Paranormal Quest, a group that I co-found. This place is definitely worth the stop!

My friend and I went to Prospect place last Thursday for a ghost hunt. The house was fantastic. Huge, old, and full of history it certainly had personality and there was a lot of information provided by the caretaker as well as videos and pamphlets we could read. I imagine it would seem much more haunted to city people than... More

I made sure I reiterated "haunted" in the title. It was. Active, alive, absorbing our energy, responding with incredible results. My team and I investigated this place. We had seen it on Ghost Adventures. Approaching the mansion is a walk back into history, rich with conflict, pain, sorrow, courage and death. During our investigation, I offered whatever energy I had... More

We have been on many ghost hunts across the country and well some of them are run down do to age, this place was just disgusting. It looks very nice from the outside but when you step in, its very apparent that no "picking up has been done in this place for at least a few years. The garbage was... More

Sorry for the long delay in reply. We just became aware of this site. To address your issue: As I remember we were just ramping up for the restoration of the library at that time. Boxes of items removed from the library were being stored in other rooms during the restoration and may have appeared to some as trash but... More

Prospect Place is a historical landmark. It was built with the intentions of being apart of the underground railroad, and the part it played in that is incredible. A friend and I have been to Prospect Place twice in the last year and plan to go again this upcoming year. We have done the overnight ghosthunts and we had a... More
