Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum features many parts of WACO aviation. If you are an aviation lover, then you'll want to mark your calendar for the WACO fly-in. It was spectacular seeing all of the old planes. It was a great turn out. You can get a ride in a beautiful red or yellow WACO plane.

We have been to the Waco Air Museum several times, most during special activities (we even got to see the Budweiser Clydesdales once) Our kids find it interesting, and we did too. Worth checking out if you are in Troy, even if planes aren't your thing, you'll still have a good time.

This museum is worth a visit. I’d recommend the summer as I feel like there is more going on. They offer a plane ride, for a fee, when the weather is nice. They do a lot of events during the year as well. The museum is fascinating and laid out simply. Takes about an hour to see everything.

Cool radial engines and interesting hands on displays! A grass runway! Well stocked gift shop and a great display of WACO (sounds like taco) vintage aircraft. WACO was short for Weaver Aircraft Company. These aircraft were built right there in Troy, Ohio.
These were early manufactures and it’s fascinating! My Favorites...display- the WACO Cargo Glider of WWII! We also met the museum president John Schelling and two other volunteers Bob and Pattie Wagner who were stunt plane performers in a 1941 Stearman Biplane for 30 years! Pattie was on top of the wing while Bob flew the stunts. Bob also gives biplane rides for the museum off the museums grass airstrip! We enjoyed!

The tour of the museum, with accompanying audio guide, took about an hour. Fantastic airplanes, well presented descriptive panels and wonderful people that run the place.

This is a small slice of life and history. But, the really spectacular gem is attending the monthly talks - which are A+++ Just Fantastic!!!

This small museum dedicated mostly to the Waco (rhymes with "taco") planes built before WWII is a must see for local airplane enthusiasts. It is small but the guides are knowledge and on the day we were there he was exclusively our own. It was interesting to the plane-but teen and his father too

You have to be a real aviation nerd to know what the Waco represents in the history of aviation. If you do understand you will find some fascinating things here. If you don't, you will probably be totally bored. The best time to visit is during the annual Waco fly-in when you can see numerous planes.

Unfortunately the day i chose to visit they had a lego contest on which meant all the aircraft/exhibits were pushed into the sides/corner of the 2nd hanger. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I had a particular interest in the Waco Glider which they had a model of and some other memorabilia.
