We had a wonderful time. My granddaughter loves to help in the kitchen and this gave her confidence to try some of the recipes on her own at her home. It was a great experience but costly- for someone who would appreciate it - a great gift!!

We're glad that you had a great time and your granddaughter has gained confidence in the kitchen. Sometimes it just takes a little push...and who better to do that than grandmother!

The classes are great! You get to do everything yourself (they measure some things out and do a little basic prep for you, but you do the important stuff) so you’re really cooking and learning something. At other cooking classes I’ve taken we worked in groups and the chef did a lot of the cooking but at The Learning Kitchen we made our own meal, and there is was plenty of food. Highly recommended!!

We took a ravioli class for a date night. Our instructor, Chef Jimmy, was engaging and did a great job ensuring everyone was able to complete the cook, even if they weren't innately comfortable preparing the dish. Their staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. One of the best perks is that everyone was cooking at their own station, it wasn't grouped by table, so everyone got to take part in all steps of the process. Highly recommend for beginners, but also a lot of fun if you already know your way around the kitchen

Had and opportunity to join4 other couple and do a evening of cooking instruction, wine and fun at The Learning Kitchen. It was fun and even if you aren't much of a cook....you'll still have fun. The meal was very nicely laid out for us. The instruction was fairly straight forward. Don't take yourself too seriously just enjoy it. The instructors are personable and can handle chefs at all levels. The wine , if you choose to have some (highly recommended as it can be nicely paired with your dish) makes it a fun casual atmosphere. They do encourage you to purchase accessories afterwards to take home and it is easy to get caught up in the moment and buy a cutting board scraper , paring knife or olive oil

I always enjoy cooking at The Learning Kitchen. The chefs make it fun, and I learn a lot. I have spent hundreds of dollars at this school. That being said, the policies and attitude of the owner are deplorable. For example, I recently had to cancel a class. I did so 3 weeks in advance, well ahead of their 10 day cancellation policy. I did not want a refund, I just wanted to move myself and my cooking partner into a similar class on a different date. The owner proceeded to lecture me about her classes being full, and I should only sign up if I can be there, and on and on. She then proceeded to lie to me saying the class I wanted had just sold out. Interestingly enough, for the next week, the class showed 4 spots open. Finally it did sell out, but clearly when I tried to book it, the class was open. It's really a shame that customers are treated this way and it's why I went from spending about $600 a month there to only attending class occasionally. While I still recommend the school because of the chefs, if you are looking for a school that is just as fun but with superb customer service, I'd recommend the Glendalia in Glendale or the cooking classes at The Midwest Culinary Institute. The classes are cheaper and more involved, and the management doesn't treat you like dirt.
