I visit The Butler regularly. A quarter of an hour visit to lift my spirit is common. When I can spend more time, I make sure to view Winslow Homer's Snap the Whip and Norman Rockwell's Lincoln the Railsplitter. Recently, I have been drawn to...More

The Midyear Show and Local Artists Show are always worth viewing. Each year the submissions get better. The museum is a great destination even when those shows are not featured.

Great collection of American art, we were pleasantly surprised not knowing much about it. In addition there was a judged art exhibit while we were there that made it that much more as they are few and far between. It's also FREE.

Don’t let the building’s frontage fool you into thinking this is a small place you can take in, in say an hour. My daughter and I spent the entire morning here and we didn’t get through it! With the great variety of displays and installations,...More
