This place was free, beautiful, and peaceful. We took our soldier and it was a great escape for a little while.

Holy City is an inspirational and peaceful place to visit. You can walk the grounds and see all the buildings made of cobblestones that have been constructed for the Passion Play that is reenacted at Easter. The chapel has been used for many weddings and...More

Must see I loved seeing how they use to live many years ago. Absolutely breathtaking. As you go there look for the wild buffalo & the Prairie dogs to see the wildlife running free is awesome.

The so-called "Holy City of the Wichitas" is the least interesting part of visiting Medicine Park and the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. This "Holy City" sort of resembles a kitschy roadside attraction on Historic Route 66. Built in the 1930's to resemble someone's vision of...More

Beautiful chapel and amazing craftsmanship in the rock formations depicting Christ. Possibly a little better when not too hot. Lots of walking on gravel/sand pathways. Really unusual to see in Oklahoma hills.

We stumbled across this little hidden gem. I strongly recommend stopping if anyone is in the area. We were unable to watch the passion play but still had a great time
