We have been several times, sometimes taking the grandkids and their friends. The kids love it. We have also been alone or with family. Always a great time in Medicine Park! The kids love swimming, the eating and meeting new friends.
We recently visited OK for my grandson graduation and took a walk through medicine park it's a nice little community with shops and dinning you can walk right up to the falls and you can swim but at your own risk, beautiful view
Not quite sure what this area is trying to be. The river walk was nice, but stopped too soon for us. Seemed to be just under a mile.

Very beautiful town. Wish there were more shops and that the banks along the water were more cleaned up and landscaped. Unique and quirky locals ate friendly to chat with. This place could be big if they expanded just a bit and cleaned up the...More
A very nice place to spend time at. There was a music festival going on. A lot of people went swimming in the lake. They want a fee of 2$ each person. We felt like jumping in too. We took a walk around the lake....More
The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge is well worth the drive through the lands. The overview from Mt Scott is outstanding. The wildlife, lots of buffalo, are a delight to see. If you are lucky you might spot an elk or even a wild long horn...More

The best answer to your question is "Where WOULD'T you see buffalo or prairie dogs?" You will see them all over. The longhorns are more prevalent, but the buffalo are there. If you continue on the road through the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, you will come to Prairie Dog town. There's a sign so you won't miss it. Get out of your car, obey the rules, and enjoy. Hope this helps.
