Always makes me wish for a temporary time machine to go there to experience the theater during its prime days. Really good restoration!

Oh my what a beautiful place. A must stop and take the free tour donations accepted. So much history of the theater and the volunteer work that is ongoing. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The theater was open for tours when we stopped by. Check their website for dates and times. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We did not want to stay for the whole tour, so they let us go in and look around. The gorgeous...More

We detoured to Miami on a cross country road trip after reading about the theater. The building has been beautifully restored and is still in use as a venue for film, theater productions and local school events. Hearing the demonstration of the pipe organ had...More

What a gem in MIami. Beautiful restored theater. We took a tour and learned the history of the building as welll. Wonderful old organ that they even had play for us.

My family decided to take a quick trip down Route 66 from Joplin to Tulsa. We hit Miami, Oklahoma around lunch time and went to Ku Ku's hamburger joint where $1.75 gets you a tasty hamburger, but they offer a menu like a 1950's diner....More

We went here for a late supper our first night here. We got the less than an hour before they closed, but we're welcomed and treated very well. The food was excellent! I would highly recommend it. Especially if you like sea food!

Frankly, we were so surprised. We were kind of expecting to see a worn out, dusty theater from the past. Not so. This gem has been coddled and cared for by the people of Miami. The theater is in pristine condition. Our guide for the...More

The beautifully restored theatre cost $600,000 to build in 1929. It's like walking through a work of art. Listening to the Wurlitzer organ playing is thrilling. Admission is free. The whole tour takes 30 minutes.

The theatre offers free tours Tuesday through Friday, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, and 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturdays. I suggest calling first to make sure that times have not changed.
