Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Highly recommend visiting this location. Restaurants, walking trails, boating are all here. Great public park very convenient to the hotel areas if you are visiting.

It’s always beautiful to drive or walk around the lake. Great restaurants with patio dining and wonderful views, especially if you’re lucky enough to capture a spectacular sunset.
It’s hard to believe something so splendid is smack dab in the middle of the city. I love watching the sailboats and the lighthouse always makes the perfect backdrop for gorgeous photographs.
Lake Hefner is a great place to unwind, people watch or take in nature’s beauty ranging from flowers to animals. The more adventurous will love walking, running or biking around the entire lake. Plenty of people also fish on the lake so make sure you have permit before you do so. 👍🏻 🎣 ☀️ 🏃♀️ ⛵️

Amazing place. I was in town for business. But I'm also a professional photographer. I was looking for places to shoot while in town and stumbled upon this spot from a local that had suggested it. The shot I got has won me international acclaim.

It’s close to the city and worth a stop if it’s on the way. We enjoyed the peaceful walk out to the light house. There’s a paved bike path and plenty of parking near the Lighthouse.

Good locale for solitude outside the downtown area. We have been to this lake several times for walks and once for lunch as well. On the south side of the lake it is quieter and makes for perhaps a more relaxing experience.
The Mexican restaurant in the east side of the lake I have reviewed elsewhere but my wife and I would just call it "okay". Not sure about "Louis".
In the winter-- where we are as of this writing-- you may find yourself alone on that trail. You may or may not prefer that.
With the wind, it's pretty chilly on that path!
Enjoy.

This is a very nice lake to kayak, run, walk, bike, or even to picnic. The atmosphere is always chill.

We enjoyed our morning at the park looking at geese and playing on the playground! There were so many geese and ducks!

Very nice welcoming park. Spent a couple of hours fishing the shoreline. Unpaved roads around the coves were in good shape and most of the shoreline easily accessible. Shoreline was clean with porttable restrooms throughout the areas I fished.
Saw a number of people walking dogs while others just enjoying the atmosphere. The marina area in the harbor had good fishing accessibility as water levels were normal. Seemed like a good number of people were out fishing on this Wednesday morning, more than I had expected.
No fish pictures to post but fishing is an experience going beyond the catching which doesn't always happen. It's nice to have a lake and park like this right inthe city easily accessible.
