This lake is beautiful and a popular place on a hot summer day. It was made by damming up a river and they were releasing some of the water to let boaters enjoy the river more. It is a beautiful lake and the water level...More

Oologah Lake offers many activities to the visitor. Good camping at Blue and Spencer Creek parks, swimming at Howthorn Bluff and Spencer creek. Good fishing off Winganon bridge and Blue Creek cove. Reasonable Kayak and boat rentals at Redbud marina.

Sad to see the trash in the rocks along the shore. Otherwise a beautiful venue. Even got to watch sailboats.

The fishing is good most of the time. The views not so much. The lake is man made by the Corp of Engineers, created by a dam which flooded low lands. There are lots of submerged trees, mangled and dying shorelines and not much beach...More
