About
One of the closest hot springs to Denver, this is a great pit stop on your way back from Mount Evans or after a day of hiking. The hot springs were originally used by the Ute and Arapaho Indians, but now attracts locals and travelers alike as a sanctuary for rest and relaxation. Unwind at the outdoor jacuzzis and indoor private baths, enjoy a therapeutic massage, or have a unique clothing-optional experience inside the geothermal caves. If you find it hard to leave, spend the night at the main resort or one of the cozy cabins. – Tripadvisor

    1st class Concert Experience
We enjoyed our trip to WinStar. We went to see a concert, which was amazing. The Lucas Oil venue is amazing. First class. The casino/hotel is very nice. It is quite expensive (+$550 for King room for 1 night). It is a HUGE place. You need to make a dinner reservation far in advance if you want to have a nice dinner. We were unable to eat breakfast this morning because there was a 45 minute place at the Terrace Grill. The IHOP (yes there is a IHOP in the casino) was very crowded. We just left and drove home. I guess you need to go down and put your name on the list way before you want to eat. The Casino is clean (they do allow smoking, but the ventilation system is amazing) and BIG. Roulette, apparently every time you bet the state of OK takes $1...dont like that. Go see a concert here. Unless you are a huge casino person, there is no need to stay over.

    nice place
The wife really enjoys the slots and goes 4 or 5 times a year. She wins pretty good sometimes and loses a little other times, but she always enjoys it. I go to have dinner and stay at the hotel and, sometimes, just to provide her transportation. She gets comp'd rooms once in a while, some get to enjoy the hotel which is very nice.

    Dirty ROOM
We always stay at the hotel when we come to the casino and it's always been great but this time it was REALLY BAD! We were in the casino tower on the 8th floor our room had not been cleaned properly. Not vacuumed, no toilet tissue, no plastic liner for the ice bucket, the A.C. only worked on 60 degrees and I itched the whole time I was in bed! I'm praying it wasn't bed bugs!!! I asked to be moved to another room, but was denied!!

Non gambler goes to the Spa!
Well, I would have the overall experience a 5 but it’s difficult to escape the tobacco smell coming from the casino. Non smoking room is beautiful though you are getting what you paid for. It’s called the Spa tower because it’s all about the Spa. WOW, the most decked out that I have ever seen, with dry sauna, steam room, ice cold room, co-ed pool and all the amenities! Though pricey, the room rate included 20% off spa services. Exceptional experience even if you don’t gamble.

    Lucas Oil Arena
While the casino is good, we attended a show at Lucas Oil Arena. First the we thought we were parking close to the venue as we followed the signs, but it was on the opposite end of where we parked. Second we were not allowed to take our purses in. Mind you I had a small crossbody that would be allowed at any stadium. We checked them in but after the show it was a complete cluster. We waited an hour to get our purses back. It was completely unorganized and not enough staff to assist. There has to be a better way to do this.

Amazing place! Got almost any slot or table game you could want. People are friendly. Self service drink stations & wait staff. Many great dining options with several lower budget options. Plenty of security & a great tribe! Thx!

Fun and customer service is great!! Although, they started a program to allow bank linkage directly to your winstar account, they cant find any slicker way to ensure they get your money. There is a lot of fun to be had there but not that much.

    Time of my life!!
It was great!! We had such a good time. Fun, Food and pleasant company. Parking wasn't too bad. It wasn't too crowded. The machines were hitting pretty good, until they wasn't. LOL. Nice and relaxing. Had the time of my life the few hours I was there. Got alot of exercise walking around meeting new people. Nothing like it. Great place to unwind and relax. With friends or alone. Never a dull moment.

    Beautiful and Huge!!
I go to Vegas often and this Casino was bigger and nicer than anything in Vegas. Tons of slots and many new slots. Nice restaurants. Odds on slots were great, I won often. Nice big no smoking area. The rooms are crazy expensive here but you can stay affordably at nearby Gainesville. It’s so huge you could spend 2 or 3 days here and be happy with the variety. It’s a viable alternative to going to Vegas.

I stayed at the Casino on August 25 and 26 in comped rooms .The rooms were fine, and the bathroom, though not handicapped, had sturdy bars in the shower. The room was very good. The Casino experience was very good, but the machines were tight, but that can happen anywhere. The food, though pricey, was excellent.

One of the problems, which I have experienced before, is that it is so big that the employees know very little, except in their particular area. Also, my debit card accidentally got locked by Fidelity, and none of the Customer Service Desks had a phone that you could use. The ice machine was down on my floor, and the Business Room was unavailable because of the virus, so you could not get on a computer, unless you had your own. I thought that restriction was totally unnecessary. Also, Valet parking was not available. I thought that was unnecessarly as well. I did find out that covered parking is available, but it is on the opposite side of the Casino from the rooms, so that too was very inconvenient.

Guest services were always busy, but the bell hops were outstanding. However, there was very little handicapped parking, so be prepared to walk a great deal.

I got the feeling, and this is the third time I have done so, that some, but not all, of the employees just did not give a damn.

I will admit, however, that your points do not expire, and yet had been a couple of years, and they were still good. They mailed me a coupon for the rooms. Forget about getting a room on the weekend. Though the casino was very crowded, there were plenty of machines to choose from, and the casino was not smokey, and I saw very few smokers on the floor.

I still liked the place, and plan to return, but I am disappointed with the little things that management did not do. (By the way, I do not have a cell phone.) I would also like to add that their were plenty of ATM's on the floor. The restrooms were fine, but not marked well, and were difficult to find. As you can see, if gambling is your main interest, as mine was, it is a good place to go, primarily because of machine selection, but I frankly feel that management does a poor job of doing some very simple things to improve your experience. Also, if the rooms are not free, they are exceptionally expensive.

One of the reviews I saw mentioned that food was scarce after ten, and that is correct. Soft drinks($2.75 ouch) were available on the hotel floor in vending machines, but snacks were not.

Overall, our group of 8 had a good time. We stayed in the South Pool Tower, it was very nice. Buffet host was so worried about the comps being correct that the line behind us got longer and longer. Terrace View Cafe was going though a transition of Management, but it seemed very well organized and Mark the manager, was super friendly and offered detailed explanations of the new Team. Our first experience at Terrace View was with Christina, who did an excellent job of service with great detail. Then later on, we found that all the servers were super in their job capacities. Never found a bar tender with a bad attitude, all we came across were Super.
Cons: If you are not into walking, no need to stop at WinStar, we were averaging 5 miles a day inside the Casino. Plus Oklahoma casinos have the Pay to Play, which is pretty bad. 10 hands cost $5 extra, which really adds up quick. Drinks are ridiculously priced. They charge enough for one beer to buy a 6-pack. Plus, they make a serious profit when they charge between $7 & $15 per alcoholic drink and premeasured for only one ounce.
Plus, after 2 days of slot action, several times in high rollers area, I was told I could get $5 comp at DQ. WoW, thanks !!

We moved to north TX recently and heard about Winstar. We decided to go for the day. The folks at the rewards desk/area were so helpful and friendly! The lady helped us get our new cards from the kiosk and explained what we had to do to earn points for a free buffet and more. It's really just a lot of slots spread out through different "countries". There are a number of restaurants to suit all tastes. The buffet was pretty darn good. I'm giving it 3 stars because 1) it was so unbelievably cold in there! We have been going to casinos all over the country (and some parts of the world) for over 25 years so we know the game - keep it cool to keep 'em gambling. But this was downright COLD. Everywhere I looked people had their winter coats on. 2) alcohol isn't included with gaming. I'd be OK with this if the drinks were at least priced appealingly but $4.50 for a domestic beer AND your taking my money while I gamble!? That's just wrong. They do offer soft beverage stations around the property but still. We'll probably go back and give it another try, but if it's that cold again I don't if we'll return.

This past weekend my family stayed at the Windstar for some fun and food. We haven't been in 3 years so we were really looking forward to it. The hotel was friendly clean, and very comfortable as always. The pool was a bit cold considering that the sun just did not want to peek out for us that day, but we soldiered on anyway. If you have not been to the hotel here, there is a bar and wait staff at the pool that you can order great drinks and nice wines from too. I had the Mojito as I really like the minty freshness on hot days. This was not a hot day so I only had one and decided it was time to head inside for the all you can eat buffet in side the casino. Three years ago this was an experience in itself. The seafood was fresh and cooked well. the steak, prime rib, and many other items were vibrant and well season happy little additions to your plate. This past weekend however this was not the case. It seem the inability to find good help has hit the casino hard. We waited 2.5 hours in line to get to to a buffet that was not what we had remembered. As the bio states, I do not like to write bad about a place because anyone can have a bad day, however this food was way past a bad day. I will say that it is not worth the wait or the $25 per person to eat there. We thought the next day we would go with the bit more classy Vino's Italian for lunch before we left. The atmosphere was quaint and for a group of 8 they were very accommodating and quick at setting up a table for us. We ordered many items on the menu and waited with great anticipation for our meal. The calamari was cook perfectly and the family style table salad had a nice tangy but not overly acrid vinaigrette that we were all happy to have. This was however were the good pretty much ended. The food while plated beautifully was all reheated sauces with no spice, and over cooked proteins. The steak was cooked to order almost. The pasta was nicely cooked but the sauces were bland and under seasoned. My alfredo sauce was gummy like it had been sitting on the noodles for and hour before it made it to the table. I must say again that this is not worth the price to eat at this place. We enjoyed the rest of our stay over the weekend and really do recommend the Casino and hotel. I would just advise for food you stick with pizza and IHOP in the casino and save your money for the tables because the "upscale" food is not anything to test your palette on. I will say the the "I Love This Bar and Grill ' was not open when we were there so I still have hope for a culinary reason to return. I give the food here a 1, my first 1 rating because of the lack of flavor and the high cost.

Haven't been to Windstar in over a year. We used to win a little money there and have a nice meal, so we thought we would go. It's one thing to drive 80 miles from dfw one way, but, it's another to drive that far and have a horrific experience. Not sure who is more ignorant, the people running the place, or the complete inconsiderate, noncaring, self centered lunatics that comprise the majority of their customer base. First of all, our favorite game is keno, but lo and behold, the multicard keno machines in the Rome bar area have been taken out and replaced with single card off brand keno and video poker. Any keno player knows your chances of hitting on single card keno is astronomical. That was bad enough, but, the worse thing is the behaviour of the low life's that frequent the place. The pandemic is still raging with 3500 positive cases each day. They require a mask to enter, but, they allow smoking, so, what's the point if people are running around with a cigarette in their mouths with no mask on? They require social distancing, but, the chairs are all butted up against each other as are the machines, so, the self centered smokers plop their asses down right next to you, light up cigarette after cigarette blowing smoke in your face because they are inconsiderate fools. Unbelievable. We had headaches all the way back home. We will never return to this poorly ran casino which is nothing more than a place for drunks and smokers. The restaurants are just as bad. We've spent 20 years in Vegas and have never seen such a dump as Winstar. You've been warned! The place is a virus incubator, so, if you don't want to risk getting sick in a crowd of noncaring low life's, we suggest you find other ways to entertain yourselves. It's not worth the risk even if you're vaccinated. We won't go back there ever. P.s. their machines are the tightest we've ever played.

If I could leave negative stars , I would!! You say you’re sanitizing, but the bathrooms are filthy. The machines & floor are filthy. Full ashtrays are everywhere. You announce that all masks must be worn properly, yet your own employees wear the mask below the nose if they wear one at all. You never get into Kirbys unless you reserve weeks in advance. The line at Mickey mantles is ridiculous. The worst part is that tables remain empty for hours with reserved signs on them. But that’s not even the worst part. The worst part is the right slots & sorry comps. Why would I drive two hours to play about 10 minutes? Your meal comps suck & the host office never even answers anymore. You keep the casino blazing hot to save on electricity. $7 bonus play is the biggest joke I ever saw!!! I’m going to drive the extra distance & take my business elsewhere.

Worst experience ever!!

When we arrived on Saturday 4/17 to check in to the RV Park we found out that the shuttle was not running. Although it did not state that on the RV website. It says that the casino is a short shuttle ride away.

We live 6 hours away and drove our motor home to Windstar to stay at the RV park. WHY wasn’t this put on your website!! You put on there that the pool was closed and that you had construction. I would call that false advertising. The website says the shuttle is a available on the RV section.

There was no way to walk to the casino either. They were doing construction and had fencing all around. Knowing we could not walk with my husbands back to the casino we had to drive our Motorhome over to the casino to find out we couldn’t park it anywhere close enough to walk.

There is NO excuse for this! You allow a million of people to cram into a casino so you can get their money but you can’t put 5-10 people in a van and shuttle them. Out front of the casino it says 50% capacity and that was a lie too. Saturday night 4/17 was so crowded there had to be a million people crammed into that casino some with mask and some with none.

We were devastated!! We could have chose other casinos but didn’t.

Then once we walked a mile to get there from the RV Park at night in 50 degrees and windy we tried to get dinner and at Toby Keith’s was 2 1/2 to 3 hour wait. Went to the new Cowboy Bar and Grill they weren’t taking anymore names at 7:00 pm said they were full for the night. What the hell! It’s a casino!! Finally went to the Italian restaurant waited an hour and half to get such bad service they comped our meal.

We have NEVER seen such a mess at Windstar. I’m sure they are going to blame it on COVID. If you can’t run your business then shut it down.

Will share this all over social media.

I live in Texas, so Winstar is the closest casino for me. Every time I go there I hope for a better experience, but go home regretting that I even bothered. The slots are sooooo tight! I have spent thousands of dollars and Never won anything significant. They do not make their payout percentage available for review like most casinos do. There is a reason for that! And a reason they are the largest casino. They don’t pay out! Their promotions are laughable. They think I am going to spend half a tank of gas for a $7 free play?

I hate the sea of smoke that you have to tolerate to have any slot choices. The non-smoking area is tiny and has a very limited selection of games. You can walk the entire casino and not hear any wins. No bells or whistles.

Just try to contact an employee to inquire about any possible perks! Good luck! They never answer their phone. Years ago they at least comped a meal for you after you drop hundreds or thousands. Not anymore!

I hate to drive so much further for the gambling experience, but I will. I will no longer waste my time or money at Winstar and I strongly advise that anyone else do the same. Yes, go see it once, it is a big place, but save your money for another venue.

I had the best Birthday gift 11/15 @ Winstar Concert. I will let everyone know Winstar Concerts are the best. Now it depend on what Concert you are going to See. Don't expect to stay at the hotel, If it's the (......) make sure you get a Nice room/ride to the Event. I've been to Three concerts there, Book in advance months, Winstar never have any vacancies when there's a Cultural venue. 11/15

I like the aesthetics of this casino, but Border Casino 2 miles away pays better on the slots. Also, I'm calling BS on Winstar's website. It clearly says they are at 25% capacity, that they are checking everyone's temp b4 allowing them to enter, that masks are required and safe distancing is in place to include every other chair having been removed. BS to all of it. They have a sign on the outside of the building that says 50% capacity. While I did not count people, it's pretty darn full and I would bet more like 70%+ full. No one takes temperatures. No masks are required. People are packed in like sardines when checking in and out. There are no chairs removed and no social distancing. My #1 pet peeve is lieing! I feel so deceived.

Also, be aware of the comped rooms. The 2nd night cost $300. The room was $200, plus taxes and a resort fee. You also pay the taxes and the resort fee on the comped room.
