Surprise in Tulsa

I really wish that they would add or move around and change their display I do not think they ever rotate the displays and have not got anything new in the last few years except for multimedia displays if you're interested in air and aeronautics go to the airport and wants a plane take off or go sit by the... You may think that Tulsa isn't much of a town. That's not quite fair, it's not New York City, it's not Dallas but, it does have a couple of places that are well worth a visit. The Tulsa Air and Space Museum is one of those. We didn't know that they had a great aerospace museum in Tulsa but there... More

The actual hangar was pretty small compared to ones in Topeka, KS and Pensacola. Way smaller. The library was pretty good though. There were some kid friendly activities. The planeterium was good.

The museum had many interesting airplanes, jets, and space craft items. Spent about 2 1/2 hours wandering through the displays. Well written descriptions. The volunteer staff offered many comments on the displays. Photo opportunities. The price of admission included a 1/2 hour Planetarium show. There are four different shows during the day. I picked to see "The Moon, past and... More

Toured the air and space museum meeting many of the staff and enjoying the displays. A school group of junior high students were attending educational sessions on space and flight. The outdoor display of the MD-80 aircraft is amazing. They are continuing to enhance the display inside the cabin of the aircraft with holographic displays and video presentations. There are... Went to the air and space museum to spend a little time before my flight left. Went on a Monday morning and there was only a handful of students from a local university there. Enjoyed looking at the history of Tulsa and the involvement in the airline industry and world war II. Saw the planetarium show and nobody was there... More
