I don't want to give it a negative review, but as an FYI when I went here mid-November 2016, there was sadly a sign in the door that said it was closed until mid-May of next year. Still great beach places on the same day at to the lighthouse!

This lighthouse is small, but easy to access. We took some great photographs of it in the afternoon light. Worth the time to go see it.

We love to walk out to this lighthouse, especially in the early evening to watch the sunset and the waves. This lighthouse has very interesting history, it is too bad it isn't a working lighthouse anymore.

The Oregon coast has a number of lighthouses that are famous because of their place on the uniquely beautiful Pacific coast. Many of the light houses are well known because their images are seen in calendars, TV and print ads. This lighthouse at Bandon is notable because it has a unique look with the short light tower. It sits opposite... More

We spent one day visiting the lighthouse and walking down the old pier. Plus a very beautiful beach is right next to it

I don't know why I like this lighthouse but it is totally different than the others. Maybe it is the short walk to it!! Just a little ways from the parking lot. It is not in use but love the design and color. Great place to walk the beach that is right there.

Lighthouses are always fun and this one is in a great location. There is a beach off to the north if you want to go beach-combing. Is is very untraveled so you get a good wild beach feel. There is a jetty that sticks out into the ocean from the lighthouse. It was relatively calm when were we there but... More

We were there just prior to a major storm, and at this time of year it isn't open, but the road out there was open. It was quiet, and as charming a miniature lighthouse as you could find anywhere. With the oncoming storm, the seas were up, it's easy to see why they would have placed a light house at... More

Worth a stop if you have time on your hands. It is a short drive from 101. Not much to see but the volunteers try to make it interesting.

Each time I visit here the staff are friendly and the LH and surrounding ocean scenery are tops. The LH is small, but historic and has been around a long time. Very rustic old place with the surrounding beach full of driftwood and tiny driftwood shelters some of the beachcombers build to get out of the wind. The shelters get... More
