Lots of interesting history on the Native American life and history of the area. Also a nice exhibition on what western life was like here in the 1800s.

Most assume Oregon is wet, but most of the state is high desert. A great overview of the cultural and natural history of the state east of the Cascades. Great for adults and families any time of the year!

Took the 12 and 14 year old. Wasn't sure if kids that age would enjoy it but we all had a great time!

At first I wasn't thrilled about going to a museum, but boy was I wrong. This museum is amazing. They have incredible animals and rotating exhibits. My favorite were the porcupines and the eagles. Highly recommend you stop by. You'll be impressed for sure.

Don't forget to take a look at the stuffed sage grouse and you will understand why they need to be protected, they are... More

There was a lot to see. We got here a bit late and couldn't fit it all in. Initially we were a bit surprised by the admission price, but upon seeing everything that was there... it was well worth it. Science exhibits, wildlife habitats, and historical "full size" diorama or ambient spaces are all here. The quality is very high.... More

We have been here several times with our grandson since he was two. He is four and this is still one of his favorite places. I don't think he will ever outgrow this place. Inside and outside activities keeps everyone interested.
