The cave is a little over 1 mile long one way. You walk all the way until you hit a sign saying no further then you turn around and walk back the mile. The walk is easy Bring a coat as it does get cool

Super cool family adventure for a really reasonable price; five dollars a car load. I believed we walked approx. three miles round trip and I loved every minute (even the stairs). The cave is cool inside which is NICE ON A HOT DAY. There were...More

My family and I decided to hike the cave during our August trip. Both of out daughters were a little unsure about walking through a dark cave. Once they were inside the fear subsided and the adventure began. The 42 degree temps inside were a...More

This is a place we tell visiting friends and relatives about. It is always cool down in the cave, and you will want long sleeves and long pants. It is mostly a flat walk when you get to the bottom of the metal steps at...More

This was an amazing adventure for the family. One can't beat the price for admission to the park at 5.00, and 4.00 for a lantern. The cave is a cool 42 degrees, so dress warm. You can bring your own flashlights instead of renting a...More

Bring a jacket and your own flashlight and you will get your money's worth (free). This is a nice, easy walk in the dark. We didn't experience any animal life despite signs suggesting we may see some. We did see multiple hikers with blinding flashlights...More

Did not plan on this at all but found out about it by driving by. It's a "lava tube" cave and luckily we had coats in the trunk to wear. Funny thing is we also had small portable flashlights and totally forgot and ended up...More

Bring a jacket!! Recommend renting the flashlights or bringing your own. The walk is a long walk and good pair of shoes is helpful. This was nothing like the caves we have hiked in the past.

Nice, friendly place to visit with clean grounds. Parking was pretty full the whole time we were there. It was interesting to learn about the origin, if you are in to that sort of thing. It's a self guided walk of the lava cave/tube. The...More

Yes, you could use a baby back pack in here. You can also go as far as you want. It is only 40- something in the cave, so make sure your baby is dressed appropriately.
