This is a cool place to bring your dog and walk the beach. Not really a beach for lounging, as it is rocky. But that just makes it more fun to explore - most of the rocks are polished. You may even find some sea...More

This was a favorite for us because we like to beachcomb and our kids built a fort out of driftwood. Lots of beautiful polished rocks and we found seaglass even though it was high tide. Bring a hat because the wind will give you and...More

Beautiful State Park. The beaches here have breathtaking views. Low tide pools are fun to explore. Close to Jedediah Smith Redwoods. Noise from the mill nearby takes some adjusting too.

It is a nice quiet place. Nothing spectacular about it. Perfect place to have a quiet moment alone. I looked for some glass pebbles but didn't find any.

This obscure little park has a wonderful dog park for dogs to chase balls and greet other dogs, along with chairs for humans. Parking was easy and there are trails down to the beach and a porta potty.

I can't think of a time I've ever given a natural area less than five stars, but the management of this one deserves it. Is there a high crime problem in Brookings or something? We were there to watch the sunset, and meandered back. Apparently...More

We took our fur baby to the dog park and enjoyed chatting with others while our pug sat under our chair and relaxed. Then we took the walking path to the beach. It is not for the balanced challenged or handicapped, nothing to hold on...More

I had expected small, medium, tiny, maybe even larger river sized pebbles but it is mostly what I would call gravel... Very large sand...Sand is fine grained, gravel is larger, then up to pea gravel and on up to river pebbles. There were very small...More
