Maybe a hunting party could get through this place, but it is not for the solo camper. Unless you liked The Howling, leave this one off your itinerary. Had to be said.

Can be very busy with people escaping the heat as it has a near perfect swimming hole that begs you to swim. Walking up stream, lots of wildlife hangs out just away from people. Frogs, fingerling fish, herons, birds of prey and the random deer...More

This is a pretty spot to walk beside the clear Chetco River on a spring day or any day. You can wade or swim in the cool water in summer. You can also watch the birds and other wildlife if you are still and quiet....More

The water is so clear, you could see the guppies swimming. The rocks are big enough so that your feet don't hurt. Come here for a relaxing day, you could drive up to eat lunch, take a dip and relax to the river sounds.
