Despite the mediocre parking & proximity to a water treatment facility, this area is worth the paved walk to viewpoints. Amazing panoramic views of the ocean & coastline without the crowd(s.) Includes an area for the more adventurous to hike higher. Saw lots of driftwood and spotted a sea lion swimming close to the shore. This is worth the detour... More

Beautiful surroundings. Beach Shopping, and food. People having a good time every were you look. People fishing, painting and just lying in the sun.

My husband and I were camping at Harris Beach State Park which is fabulous. We rode our bikes into Brookings and were rather disappointed in the town as it had a huge wood mill that emitted strange smells and not much else we wanted to stop at except a Fred Meyers for a quick walk through. We did find the... More

This park isn't advertised anywhere. They must want to keep it a secret for the locals. By going down the street by BiMart. Find the park behind sewer plant circle around it on the trail great beach.

Great views on top of the peninsula part. Would not recommend for small children or people afraid of heights. Lower part has a beach with some good tide pools. Saw a seal down on the beach one year!

This is a good spot to see Brookings Harbor from a different view point. It was a lovely warm summer day and we enjoyed exploring the whole Brookings area.

The girls had never seen the Pacific Ocean and this was a must for this trip. The girls being from Louisiana weren't to sure about the coolness of Oregon coast but once the morning fog lifted leaving a robin blue egg sky and nice ocean rollers they were up for the adventure. Slow to get in the water but once... More

I had lunch at one of the several picnic benches--it has beautiful views. It's not a typical park (no kids play space that I noticed), but great for taking a walk with friends or a dog.

An enjoyable stop, if you meander past the less than scenic commercial sites, and ignore the less-than-prudent water treatment plant location on this scenic shore. Windy and lovely views both northward and southward, with a picnic table to enjoy the panorama. Hardier trekkers can venture beyond the paved trail clear out to the historic headland. I couldn't locate the whale... More
