Doesn't cost anything but 2 minutes to see. You can see it from 101 in either direction, so merely peering left or right will suffice

First it says it's the largest in the world... then it says it's the largest in Oregon... Well... it was a tree. The museum associated with it maybe be more worthwhile. We did stop and visit the tree but... it wasn't amazing.

Every couple of years my wife has to stop by here and take a picture or 2. It's easy to get to, just a little south as you get into Brookings/Harbor on the east side of Hwy 101.

Cool to look at but no parking and in a guys yard. Big tree but that's about it. It was hard to find on the google maps due to the location and there isn't any clear signs advertising.

It's an easy pull off from Hwy 101, on the southern edge of Brookings. Tree is precariously close to road cut so don't know how much longer it will last before it topples over onto Museum Road.

This tree was planted on this spot over a hundred years ago. There are flowers and a nice little path leading up to it. If you like to read the history of a place you should pull off on this little side road and check...More
