In April the Puffins come to Haystack Rock to lay their eggs. Beach is beautiful. We have been here several times but never get tired of going here.

It never ceases to amaze, no matter how many times you see it. Haystack rock is simply iconic. If you find yourself planning a trip to the Oregon Coast, don't miss out on this treasure. Spring even brings tufted puffins to nest on this rock....More

I had never been to Oregon. I picked this area to stay in because of Haystack Rock and the amazing views around. Little did I know that the area around Haystack has an amazing tide pool with starfish and anemone. Beautiful views in both directions...More

During low tide you can walk out to the rock. Just watch the tide coming in or you can get trapped out there. Then entire beach along there is wide and family/dog friendly. If you are not staying at one of the many rentals or...More

This beach was beautiful. The fact that you can have fires on the beach at night was very nice. We walked many miles on the beach, and noticed that it was very clean, with almost no garbage whatsoever.

We had just left Seaside thinking there wasn't anything all that special about our day trip to the area. Since Cannon Beach was only 15 minutes away, we thought we'd stop by to see what else the area had to offer. We were delighted that...More

The rock and beach around the rock made the last day on the northern coast the best. The water and beach were cold but we didn't care-we we're having too much fun.

Everyone should visit at least once for the beauty, the solitude and to explore marine life and of course the puffins when they return to nest in spring time.

In this time year it was quiet enough and walking on a beach was really enjoyable. Didn't get to tide pools but will try next time.

You can no longer visit the Goonies' house in Astoria. There are no trespassing signs in the driveway. I read another review that said if you ride down a side street on a bike you can somewhat see it.
