Park in the large parking lot right off of 101. Stroll through the forest to a beautiful beach. Many surfers were out when we there, It made for an interesting time. Lovely walk, gorgeous beach. Stop and see it!

We stopped at the Oswald West State Park, based on good reviews from Trip Advisor. We chose the Cape Falcon Trail - a 2 1/2 mile trail that begins at the northwest parking lot along Highway 101. You hike through the high-growing salal and all...More

We didn't think the beach was particularly special. Not bad, just not anything exceptional. The trail, however, was very lovely and mossy

spent an afternoon surfing here and just enjoying the beach. Did a great hike out to Falcon Cove. Highly recommend if you like to get out and explore the coast.

In dry conditions a good athletic shoe should be fine; if wet, I would recommend hiking boots. Also dress in layers as temps vary along the trails and be sure to bring drinking water for each hiker.

Yes, there is a wide asphalt gradual pathway that goes to the beach. You access this trail from the parking lot on the east side of 101
