A Gorgeous Hike

This a breath taking hike. We took so many pictures of the fantastic views. I highly recommend it! Some of it may be a little challenging if you have some difficulty walking

We had done rain forest and hard hikes in Washington, so this was a pleasant, beautiful, but easy .5 to the beach overlook, with a 2.0 or 2.5 out to the lookout point. At the look out, you can't see much of the beach. Surfers were having fun.

The tidal pools around the rock are thoroughly engrossing. Starfish of all colors clinging to the rocks waiting for the tides to come back in; beautiful sea anemone, occasional sea lions on the rocks and huge bird colonies.

Really enjoyable walk through old-growth forest before you get to the beach. It's a cove-beach so not as windy. Easy hike in and out.

The highlight of our trip! We went on a rainy day, and there was hardly anyone in the park, so we explored all the trails and headed down to smuggler's cove and the incredible views of ocean and cliffs. On the way back, we detoured over the wooden sway bridge. It is hard to even find the words to describe... More

My favorite hike was the beach access trail to Smuggler's Cove. It takes you through lush old growth forest and lands you on a beautiful sandy beach. If the tide is right, you can also round the beach to see Smuggler's cove. It's a beautiful gem worth timing the tide for. It has a beautiful little stream that rushes down... More

Loved every moment that we spent here. Hiked down from the highway and were delighted to find the tide out with dogs happily running about, children building sand castles and playing in caves and tidal pools. Decided right then and there that we may just have to move to Oregon.

Oregon has amazing beaches so it's hard to pick a favorite. This one stands out. After a short mile or less hike on a path that follows a stream, you come to this tree shaded opening and onto this beautiful beach. I read a review that this would be the perfect place for a small wedding. I couldn't agree more.... More

A wonder full hike to the beach. The walkway is through old growth and a nice flowing creek running down next to the pathway all the way down to the ocean.
