This cemetery is an historical pioneer cemetery. Very interesting and a educational tour. You soon realize how old the Marshfield/Coos Bay area is.

I was surprised at the size of this cemetery and the location is across the parking lot of the high school. There is a pamphlet that helps guide you around the cemetery that gives you better understanding of the history of some headstones. It is...More

Very cool grave markers and an excellent view to match. A little overgrown but still very beautiful.

So strange and cool to see such old graves. Some of them even state where in Europe the person was from. Some soldiers, some children, some families. All a piece of this town. The grounds are mostly well preserved and in July it's also a...More

This is a great cemetery to explore. Lots of very interesting old grave markers. The grounds need more frequent upkeep, but other than that it is a typical old cemetery. A little hilly so watch your step, but a nice interesting visit here.

I thought it was interesting that it was by a school! It was very strange to have a school close to a cemetery like that

I love old cemeteries! You can learn a lot about a town and its people from the layout and the stones. This cemetery is no exception. Sadly, on my visit, the grounds were ragged and overgrown. Also, you need to watch where you step because...More

This cemetery is actually on the grounds of the high school...the students have been maintaining it and it's a really cool place to look around in.

This cemetery is full of history, from the Civil war to World War I. The shifting ground and tree growth make for some very interesting grave stone movement. I spent more than an hour taking photos. There is a walking tour broshure at the entrance.
