This theater is at the heart of Coos Bay. It plays old classics and supports the community with various shows and projects. No first run stuff, just a community theater.

When they started, they built a garage. They changed their mind and changed it into a theater. It offers movies and on Sunday, the Court Life Church have service at 10:30 A.M. It is attractive with its yellow. the rim is red. Worthwhile to see!

We were totally blown away by the fantastic job that is being done to restore this Egyptian theater to its former glory. The theater is one of a handful in the country still in existence. From the original Wurlitzer organ, to the original stage sets...More

After hiking several state parks we really just wanted a bowl of hot clam chowder (Sharkbites) and a bed. But the Egyptian Theater looked awfully interesting so we wandered over. It just happened to be about 20 minutes before showtime - Hitchcock's Vertigo, which neither...More

The theater is a quaint slice of Americana, with its faux Egyptian statues and decor adding a little art deco vibe. The seating is comfortable. The lights and sound are fine. The staff obviously loves the old building. Be sure to go listen to the...More

I believe they are open year-round. They play movies at a reduced rate because they aren't new releases.
