We stopped here on the way back from seeing the waterfalls. Vista house is a beautiful historic building worth checking out. It’s a small building but with three levels is larger than you think. The parking lot fills up quickly but people don’t stay too...More

While driving from Portland to Mt Hood along the river, you can't help but see this observatory from the highway. I made it a point to stop here along the trip and was glad I did. Firstly it's practical as it has bathrooms and free...More

The Vista House is an interesting looking building surrounded by beautiful views. There's restrooms and a gift shop located downstairs from the entrance. It was hard to find a parking spot since it was very crowded when we went, and the lot isn't very big.

There isn't really much to say... the building wasn't open when we were there, it was early in the morning. The views are great!

Free stop, beautiful views, kind people, but parking is scarce and lots of visitors. You can see two other falls on the way down IF you do not want to wait for the Multnomah Falls shuttle. Ask gift shop for map on the Falls adventure...More

This is not a road to be afraid of. It curves gently as it elevates. Go slowly and enjoy the view.
