First Visiting we have now moved to Cottage Grove experiencing a fun small town. Purchasing a 1920 bungalow in a historic neighborhood, it is two blocks to Centennial Covered Bridge spanning the South fork of the Willamette River (for a very reasonable price to boot...More

We walked down Main Street toward the river and the Centennial covered bridge. It is a fairly busy street but the buildings look like they are from a previous era. It is comparable to Oakland and Jacksonville, my two favorite Oregon historical towns that I...More

A friend and I enjoyed a walk up and down Main St. in the evening and returned the next day for a brief time to gift shop when stores were open. I found a nice gift at the antique store.

The historic district is pretty much a drivethrough experience. We found no noteworthy spots here and the 'local flavor' tended to congest themselves all over the sidewalk.

Typical small town from the early 1940's - 1960's. Historical buildings interlaced with some coffee shops. The Homestead furniture store is on main, site of the shooting of Animal House.
