We have visited the ECEC a couple of times now. It is small but well laid out and attractive, and good for families traveling with kids. It is also in a very scenic part of the state. The drive to the coast along the Umpqua...More

We caught the Elkton Labor Day festivities when we stopped at the Butterfly Pavilion. There were booths of crafts and food everywhere. The Pavilion is small and takes less than 20 minutes to enjoy. The butterflies are well tended and beautiful. Bring your camera!
Gotta love Monarch Butterflies fluttering everywhere in their special indoor place where they thrive. A great opportunity for close-ups for photographers and Fort Umpqua is just down the hill. The Pavilion Gift Shop offers unique them-oriented wind chimes, stained glass items and curios.
Beautiful grounds and great for Butterfly lovers. Everyone is knowledgeable and super friendly. They have a great produce stand and gift shop. Snack bar area is good even if you just need to stop for a quick break.
