It is a bit of a drive but well worth it. The drive is actually nice. Just plan ahead and have plenty of gas. The road is a bit rough from Joseph.

Great camping and fishing. Big RV’s at a disadvantage due to tight curves and more primitive campgrounds, but then again, this area may not be an attraction for them.

There are a number of great places to hike and abundant wildlife and flowers. We would recommend climbing the Hat Point Lookout and spending time with a pair of binoculars observing birds.

Hard to get to, but well worth it. The views are astounding . Take good shoes, plenty of water and a full tank of gas. Services are very limited.

It is a very scenic drive over mostly paved roads and is usually wide enough for two cars to pass without any problems. There were a lot of motorcycles and that usually is an indication the road isn’t too rough.

Only saw a portion of Hells Canyon and it was breathtaking! There is so much to see in this part of the country. Makes you go back in time.
