U of O's campus is pretty, lots of trees, interesting buildings and pathways. Not sure if there's a best path but get off the roadways and explore. For sure find the Pioneer Mother and the Father striding towards her through Johnson Hall.

Yes, we found the meterior at the university. It is in a little courtyard, with petrified wood near it, in front of a science building. I asked some students if they knew what the big rock was, and they did not. This is the secret...More

Taking our dog along, we explored the campus and got lots of friendly feedback from students missing their dogs. The buildings are beautiful and the campus Big Little Burger near Franklin Ave has outside seating for you and your pet.

The UO campus is very inviting; people overall are friendly. Eugene is a college town and as such has many sports bars and pubs. Restaurants are generally casual. Fall is a beautiful time to visit.

Most Universities will take you on a campus tour if you call them ahead of time and make arrangements. I know Davis does a group tour, I see then wandering around campus with a student tour guide regularly.
