Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a gem. If you are in Eugene and love art, you must go. 3 measly bucks. A rare Andy Warhol of Alfred Hitchcock and some of the best video art I have seen anywhere. Staff outstanding.

This museum has everything from asian to modern and many fun things in between. As an Art History major, I love to browse each new exhibit and see what's new. The "Iconicity" exhibit is really interesting and there is a gorgeous small scale, but still quite large, jade pagoda that I love as well. Hours are great. Every day till 5 except wednesdays till 7, and they are closed mondays. Admission is free for students (U of O, with Student ID) and children, I believe under 16, $3 for seniors and $4 for adults. The price is very reasonable, the reason being because some very dedicated student volunteer. Oh, and don't forget the building itself, a beautifully done building by the architect Ellis Lawrence, the first achitecture dean at the University of Oregon (a very highly regarded achitecture school!). PS. The museum is handicap accessible and there is a gift shop, cafe and interactive childrens area.

This is a fabulous gem of a gallery! The hallway of children's art is enough to knock your socks off, but keep going...there is so much to see. The Asian collection is top-notch and the permanent collection contained works from Picasso, Basquiat, Kandinsky and Matisse. This is a definite "must see" for anyone, but especially art lovers.

Dropped by this hidden cafe for lunch and it did not disappoint. The menu is simple and fresh. I ordered the Quiche du jour which was Squash & Chèvre, served with field greens and baguette. Meal arrived in about 10 minutes.
Seating area is good, holds about 60 people but was loud during the lunch hour. Lots of 2 person tables, a few larger tables that can be used by a group or several singles. Good variety.
Hidden gem for leisurely lunch with a friend or solo.
*On my way out I rounded out my meal with a TomBumble bar (divine!)

It wasn't working when I was there so I wasn't able to view anything upstairs which was the reason for my visit. I was told it randomly goes in and out of service and they won't replace it due to "historical value". Extraordinarily non-inclusive for such an "inclusion-friendly" city.

You'll like the museum and its current and permanent shows, especially its Asian collection. Some of the minor galleries are not well lighted. Free admission on home football game weekends.

Any time you can walk in to a museum and see 5 Picassos, 2 Deigo Riveras, a Modigli sculpture, a Bonnard nude, "Liza" by Warhol, and still be amazed at the next turn, you have a good day.

Like most museums, there is a lot of low-quality art, like communist propaganda pieces. But there are a lot of really nice things here too. I was amazed by some of the Asian art.

This small art museum located on the University of Oregon campus offers way more than exhibits! Today featured a wonderful Sunday afternoon concert of classical guitar music free to the public, in conjunction with the city’s Bach Festival. Extra events have also included First Friday Art Talks, Art and Healing Workshops, Family Days of Storytelling through Art, Opening Receptions, Gallery Tours, Annual Mother’s Day Powwows, Conversations with Artists, a Fringe Festival evening, and so much more! Stop by the Visitor Information Center in downtown Eugene, or check the museum’s website &/or brochures for upcoming events. Museum hours are Tues.-Sun., 11 AM – 5 PM; Wed. open to 8 PM. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors, & free for those 18 yr. & younger. Of course, see the exhibits too – which showcase breathtaking Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and American art in multiple galleries on the second floor. Highlighted are items from the permanent collections, as well as significant works from guest artists – such as Rick Bartow whose powerful exhibit runs to August 9, 2015. Certainly this museum goes above and beyond to “enrich your life!”

Large building. $3 for seniors. Some modern art, a large room of Japanese things, Korean calligraphy. One room of third-rate European painting. Did the whole thing in twenty minutes.

I have never seen any dogs on a lease in this museum, but the people that run the museum are very helpful and if you call them, they will be glad to answer this question.
