Cool trail that ends in a beautiful private beach area. I am 68 and out of shape. I rested a couple times coming up, but I would do it again!

Nice 1 mile walk to the beach. Pretty treacherous, however, trying to cross the busy Highway 101 from the small parking area across from the trail. Walking down the trail, look our for Frodo--he can still be seen if you are watchful

We took the short version of this trail through the "hobbit' woods down to the beach- and then long walk on the nearly empty beach. Worth the effort to get there and back.

Trail head can be hard to spot but the hike is worth it. A quick half mile down to the beach and a long open beach when the tide is down. Make sure to check tide times! Be cautious of jelly fish on the beach...More

Mysterious trail half a mile down to a very long beach with nice tide pools and miles of sand. We spent the day there, walking, wading and sunning The trail itself wanders through two distinct ecosystems, bot unusual and enchanting. Parking is on the East...More

This is not their habitat. Although you might encounter Frodo along the way.
