On our 4-day journey northward along the Oregon Coast, we made sure to stop at the Heceta Head Lighthouse. We're so glad we did. The lighthouse is picturesque, but the real star is view of the coastline. There are amazing views from wherever you stand....More

A must to visit while in the area. Go in the early morning before it gets busy. The path is pretty easy. Expect to spend 1/2 hr or more and be amazed at the photos you'll come back with.

Quick 1/2 mile RT hike to get to the lighthouse. Lovely views and worth a stop here. Large parking lot with beach access right in front!

the speaker was well versed in the area and about the lighthouse and other surrounding lighthouses. The views were excellent from up there, we even saw a whale spouting out in the ocean!

You have to park and walk up to the lighthouse. Not ideal for taking a baby in bad weather.
