The Heceta Head Lighthouse and the "Devils Elbow" park are worth the trip. A quick hike up the hill and you are treated to a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean and an awesome historical home and lighthouse. The beach access is great, plenty of tidal pools below and a nice flat beach with easy access to the water. A... More

This is a beautiful stop on along the Central OR coast. There is a managable 1/4 mile hike up to the lighthouse with steep but rewarding hiking trails behind and above the Lighthouse. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable, there is lots of parking, and there is a beach at parking lot level to soak in ocean waves.

Be watchful for the entrance to light house is easy to miss. Been here a couple of times and enjoyed it. There are volunteers that will give you a very informational tour. You'll enjoy it hAve fun! There is history here to learn

Like most lighthouses on the coast the view is outstanding. So is the wind at times. The folks that man the place are knowledgeable and friendly. Only drawback is the light is no longer available.

Pulling off the coastal highway the famous bridge is the first thing you see. Great photos and waves. As you walk from the parking lot up to the main house you see the Lighthouse Word just a little further you can go get a free tour from a state park guide. Such a fun trip and history lesson

It is a bit of a hike up the road from the parking lot to the lighthouse, but worth it. The views of the coast are wonderful and the grounds well kept. Take the trail up the hill behind the lighthouse for an interesting view as you are eye level with the light.

Go! Short hike, gorgeous views and beach! Lots of sea lions in the water surfing. Quick drive from Florence and close to Sea Lion Cave.
