I stopped by the lighthouse and walked down from the parking lot to the lighthouse using the paved path. The path is well marked and there are benches to stop and take in the beauty of the area. The lighthouse is a beauty had has...More

My review is more on the grounds/beach around it due to the time restraint we had that day. Just didn't have time to take the small hike up to the light itself. But the beach around it is lovely, just beautiful. Was a very small...More

It is a short easy walk up to the lighthouse. You get the most amazing views of the ocean. We saw gray whales while we were on top. The volunteers were amazing and shared with us the history of the lighthouse in detail. We were...More

If you want to get up close and personal with a lighthouse here's your opportunity. Though small it is the highest beacon in Oregon. Amazing view, great volunteers to tell you it's legacy, and did I mention the keepers house is a super cool very...More

The lighthouse is hard to see with the naked eye on a foggy day but with the right camera lens it makes for a great photo. The best shot is across the highway from it with long range lens. The cloud cover added to the...More

We stopped while driving down the coast. Was a pleasant 15-20 minute walk up the hill to the light house. The ocean view was spectacular and the lighthouse looks great. Great photo ops, not to be missed.

Gorgeous scenery around this lighthouse, well worth stopping off and walking to it and enjoying the marvellous views.

This is a lovely place to stop for a short hike, nice view, and great photo opportunities. We always take the dogs with (leashed), and it is good to bring a hoodie or light jacket because it can be windy, especially at the top.

Tours are free and occur very frequently. Informative for the history lover. However, note that you can't climb the stairs to the top anymore. Our guide told us they are are closed indefinitely because there were so many visitors last year.

A little lighthouse like you would imagine it. From the parking lot where you pay at an unattended pay station ~$5 for day use (or you have your Oregon park pass with you and place it in the car) you walk maybe 10 minutes to...More

There is a parking lot. The exit from Hwy. 101 is well marked. Park in the lot (restrooms and picnic area available) and walk the path up to the lighthouse. Both the lighthouse keeper's house and the actual lighthouse are... More

Yes - you can get there via a path which originates from the parking lot at the base of the hill. Heceta Head Lighthouse is at the top (about 1/3 of a mile up the hill with a light-to-moderate incline), with a beautiful 140... More
