One of the most unique tourist attractions on the Oregon Coast, the Prehistoric Gardens is great for young and old alike. Just 17 miles north of Gold Beach lies an untouched prehistoric garden complete with 23 life size dinosaurs set among a lush 300 year old Oregon rainforest. The self-guided tour allows you to casually stroll along the path and discover what the Earth was like millions of years ago. Family owned and operated since 1955, this eco-friendly attraction is a must see!

Pet-Friendly! Dogs are allowed to take the tour for FREE as long as they are on a leash.

Regardless of the negative reviews that I read to my family, we decided to be our own judge of the experience versus the cost. My grandchildren are 3 & 2 years of age and they watch the show "Dinosaur train" they went through the rain forest relating and looking for the dinosaurs that they see on their show. My son... More

Our three year old loved the dinosaurs, the lush forest is really cool, birds and other wildlife were lovely, but we probably only spent 30 minutes wandering through, so it seemed steep ($12 for adults, $8 for kid)

We used this as a much needed stop-off point on a long road trip. My 2yr old loves it. We walked the path twice. It is a bit pricey, $12 an adult, but three and under were free. It seemed to spark his imagination, and I enjoyed just seeing the rainforest fauna. The dinosaurs are fairly impressive, especially the largest... More

Passed by the gardens on our way to Gold Beach, and had to stop for the life sized T-Rex in the parking lot. Spent the $40 on admission for 2 adults and 2 kids. Not a huge attraction, but the kids loved all the dinosaur statues and I loved learning the prehistoric facts about the origins of our native plant... More

I enjoyed this very much. Beautiful path with amazing statues kinda spends in my opinion but once u pay u can walk through as much as you want. More of a one time thing in my opinion but definitely a must see.

Well, I should say it's not what my husband expected. The statues were cool, but I wish there were more interactive areas.

This walking tour of some of the old Dinosaurs from millions of years ago. Life size well crafted 60 years ago, these are still a favorite with kids of all ages. This is a fairly short walking trip of about 45 minutes or so.

I have three kids and being on a leisurely trip up the Oregon Coast meant that we had to stop. While a little pricy for a family of 5, it was very pretty and informative.

This was a nice place to stretch our legs and I enjoyed seeing life size dinosaurs. There are great signs with succinct kid friendly descriptions of each kind of dinosaur as well as some great information about the evolution of plant species. Husband thought it was a bit overpriced.
