Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staff explained exhibits to our grandkids, told us best places to walk (and where it was flooded!) and what to look for on our hike. Highly recommended for a day out!

You do not need to drive far to enjoy nature and beautiful walk. The display for all kind of birds and educational materials is excellent. I love it. It is lots of fun to go for walks with kids. Parking is plenty and never crowded

We have only been there is the spring but so fun. Lots of birds and their babies. You an just spend half an hour or half a day here. We might take a lunch next time. The longer you stay the more chance you have of seeing something interesting.

Even on a cool, misty December day, it is refreshing to take a walk at Jackson Bottom. There will always be things to see, and you will feel that you are miles away from any city. The Visitor Center is exceptional and educational, too. What a gift we have here in Hillsboro!

Lots of trails to take, well maintained. Don't come here hoping for a good hike as little effort is required. There were places to bird watch, so for some this may be a 5. If you like this place, try Tualatin Wildlife Refuge. Its a 5!

About an hour and a half walk to see perching birds and waterfowl. The variety and quantity varies with the seasons. Starting with October there are thousands of Canadian Geese. The information Education building is nice. Nice bathrooms and information plaques, they have a gift shop and a tally of the birds seen that day. Nice arrangement of bird feeders. Great parking.

We wanted to check this place out. We live in the surrounding area and have never been here. It actually has a visitor center but it was closed when we got there. Every couple of steps you take there is a informational board (around the center area) that tells you what you are looking at and what it does for the area. It is very informative. And the paths are easy to navigate. They also have maps you can take when you first get there. Parking is easy and abundant. They have bird watching stations and paths for you to venture off. On a sunny day the water in the area become a mirror and it's beautiful. You could walk as liitle or as much as you like. I would definitely recommend it.

Love this place. It is so accessible. The frog population seems to be doing very well. Go around dusk and the sound is just intense.

Paradise for nature watching. Well done handicap accessible viewing deck and interpretive center. Miles and miles of walking trails as well. Lots of birdlife. The interpretative center is incredibly well done; lots of interesting pieces for children and adults.
